Are You Courageous or Foolish?

Sometimes the difference
between choosing courage
and acting foolishly is not clear,
especially before the fact.

If, however,
we choose in the spirit of courage
and discover after the fact
that we acted foolishly
we should still fully honor ourselves
for our initial choice of courage.

Courage exists independent of the outcome.
It wouldn't be called courage, if the outcome were guaranteed.

?

- Unknown

The young do not know enough to be prudent, and therefore they attempt the impossible - and achieve it, generation after generation.
- Pearl S. Buck (1892-1973, American author)

- Jean Paul Richter (1763-1825, German novelist)
